Daniel Cage – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Cage is an experienced entrepreneur with management, marketing and technology experience. He founded Linq3 Technologies when he recognized that an untapped resource (ATM's and other POS Terminal Networks) could be used to significantly enhance the way lottery tickets were distributed.

Prior to Linq3, Mr. Cage was the founder and owner of SoundCage, a post-production content company started in 1996. Under Mr. Cage's leadership, SoundCage provided content for Fortune 1000 companies including AT&T, Nike, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, and Sony as well as the nation's top advertising agencies (BBDO, Deutsch, McCann-Erickson).

Mr. Cage has a BA in Political Science from the University of Southern California

David L. Tashjian – President

Mr. Tashjian had a successful 25 year investment career on Wall Street. He joined Salomon Brothers in 1982, where he remained for seven years and was promoted to Director. This was followed by several years as a co-founder of Wasserstein Perella's successful business. In 1992, Mr. Tashjian joined Lazard Freres, spending 15 years of his career as a General Partner and Managing Director. During his tenure, Mr. Tashjian served various roles, including CEO of Global Capital Markets, and was appointed to the firm's Global Executive Committee. Mr. Tashjian also served as a member of the firm's Management Committee and the Lazard Asia Board.

Mr. Tashjian attended the University of Virginia Darden Graduate School of Business where he graduated with honors.

Thomas N. Shaheen – Executive Vice President

Mr Shaheen joined Linq3 in September, 2010, bringing along over 23 years of lottery industry experience. His career culminated in his announcement in 2005 as the first Executive Director for the North Carolina Education Lottery, where he led both the successful start-up and the next five years of its ongoing operations. Prior to North Carolina, Mr. Shaheen spent 18 years with some of the most successful lotteries in the U.S., including Florida, Texas, Georgia and New Mexico. During these years, Mr. Shaheen gained extensive operational and management experience, serving in roles including sales, marketing, operations, and in 2000, was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of the New Mexico Lottery Authority where he served before being appointed to his position in North Carolina.

In 2005, Mr. Shaheen served as the President of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL). Prior to that he served as Chairman of the NASPL Standards Initiative Committee. In 2009 Mr. Shaheen served as President of the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). He also was Vice-Chairman of Powerball in 2005.

Mr. Shaheen is a 1975 graduate of Wayne State University with a degree in Business Administration.


 

Craig Fitzgerald - Senior Director, Systems Operations

Mr. Fitzgerald is a Lottery industry veteran with over 24 years of lottery experience, including multiple start-ups, conversions, domestic and international systems’ deliveries, account and budget management and new business development. Mr. Fitzgerald possesses a unique combination of lottery-side (both the Florida and Georgia Lotteries), and vendor-side experience (GTECH), where he served as Regional Director of Business Development and was appointed as the Account Development Manager for the launch of the North Carolina Education Lottery.

Mr. Fitzgerald holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Science from the University of West Florida


 

Jonathan Broome - Chief Technology Officer

Jonathan Broome has over twenty-five years of software industry experience. His background includes systems ranging from embedded devices to enterprise-level, application design and implementation, user interface creation, all with a focus on performance, security, and reliability. From 1988 to 2001 Mr. Broome was Senior Engineering Manager and Senior Software Architect at Sun Microsystems (previously Interactive Systems Corporation). Mr. Broome moved to Astro Pak as CTO until 2005, and then took the position of Senior Software Engineer at Trust Commerce until beginning his tenure at Linq3 in early 2008. Mr. Broome's points of expertise include, interfacing to payment card industry networks, network management, storage systems, embedded systems, financial transaction terminals and network, user interface design and implementation, and point-of-sale systems and communication networks.


 

Roy Leach - Director of Partner Implementation

Mr. Leach has over 25 years of technology and development experience in a wide range of areas, including both standalone systems and full networks. Prior to Linq3, he served as a Senior Engineer at EchoStar Technologies (Dish Network), where he provided the pivotal technical and leadership resource for new product development and existing product support. He also was the Director of Development at PhatNoise and Hiwire leading multiple development teams in start-up environments. In these senior engineer roles, he has been responsible for designing and implementing state of the art solutions for companies including Dish Network, Cardkey Systems and Sun Microsystems. 


 

Dina Charland - Senior Project Director

Ms. Charland is an experienced lottery industry veteran of more than 25 years, including assisting lotteries during system conversions, start-ups and Multi-State Lottery (MUSL) software modifications. She has hands-on experience with all the major lottery vendors and has worked in over 20 U.S. lottery jurisdictions. Her initial experience was gained while working for the New York Lottery for almost 10 years, and continued with her working as a technical consultant within the industry.  In 2006, Dina was hired as the Director of Gaming Systems for the North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) and contributed to the startup of their newly formed lottery. She resumed her consulting business in 2008, resulting in collaboration with Linq3. Dina now lends her industry experience to Linq3 as their Senior Project Director.


 

Wayne Dalton - Senior Vice President Sales

Mr. Dalton brings along 32 years of experience in the ATM, EFT and Financial Services Industry. He joined Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 1980, and served 4 years in sales and 3 years as Regional Director, managing CAMS sales (Computerized Automated Maintenance Systems) to General Motors . In 1988, Mr. Dalton began working with multiple financial institutions, including Texas Independent Bank, Fifth Third Bank, and US Bank selling ATM EFT processing to ISO’s. In 2007 Mr. Dalton was recruited to Nautilus Hyosung USA as Regional Sales Manager, where he assisted in the development of new market opportunities in the United States. Mr. Dalton joined Linq3 in 2010 and serves as its conduit to and relationship manager with the ATM industry.


 

Michael Mandel - Director

Michael Mandel has been an entrepreneur for more than 25 years.  Most recently he was founder and Managing Partner of Mandel, Katz, Manna & Brosnan, an international law firm with offices in New York, Singapore and London.  The firm specializes in representing the world's largest investment banks and hedge funds in their purchase, sale and restructuring of distressed corporate loans.  Mr. Mandel was also founder and CEO of ClearPar, LLC, the first web-based electronic settlement platform for corporate loans.  In 2005, Mr. Mandel retired, selling his law practice to his partners and ClearPar to Fidelity National Services.  Mr. Mandel was honored as Rockland County's "Philanthropist of the Year" in 2008 and, in addition to his activities at Linq3,  is currently serving his second term as President of the Board of Directors of Rockland Family Shelter.
